The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri Ph.D. has expressed optimism that the collaboration between the Saudi Arabia Kingdom and Nigeria will foster positive outcome.
The Petroleum Resources Minister who was part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu entourage to the rich kingdom of Saudi in quest to deepen bilateral ties between the two nations especially in the area of economic gains, conspicuously said hope for a prosperous future for Nigeria energy sector is in the horizon.
He noted his meeting with the Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, who is also the Chairman of JMMC.
In his words; “With the future of Nigeria’s energy landscape at the center stage, I met with the Chairman of OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) and Energy Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, at the Kingdom’s capital city Riyadh, and our discussion focused on our nations production quota and a strategic alliance to shape the trajectory of our energy sector.
“It was reassuring to witness the Kingdom’s unwavering support towards our shared goals in the energy sector as we delved into strategic measures to enhance collaboration, ensuring that our production aligns seamlessly with global demands.
“This collaborative spirit fosters optimism for the future, as we work hand in hand with OPEC partners to navigate the dynamic challenges of the global energy arena, including meeting and even exceeding our production targets for a sustained and thriving energy landscape.”
