Mrs Ikeazu Tasks Protect The Precious Foundation Trustees Board Members on Girl Child Discrimination

Protect the Precious Foundation, a non governmental organization, on Friday 4 March, 2022, inaugurated her Board of Trustees. 

The foundation which its core mandate is to contribute to the upliftment of the ‘Girl Child’ in Nigeria, was charged to set its target to ensuring that all forms of degrading myths meted against the Girl Child by the society is eradicated

Inaugurating the Board, wife of Abia State Governor, Dr. Nkechi Ikpeazu, tasked the honourable memebers of the board to the enormous challenge of making a difference in the life of the Girl Child seriously. 

Furthermore, she  engaged them to stay focused on the vision, mission and objectives of the organization while structuring it to become a standard for other organizations.

Represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Lady Vivian Ude Okochukwu, Dr. Ikpeazu described the Board as carefully selected and expressed confidence that they will deliver on the task ahead.

The five Board Members are Hon.Mrs. Nnenna Obewu, Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke, and Mr. Enyinnaya Appolos. 

Others are Hon. Mrs. Onyinye Eziallor and Hon. Obed Nnaji Asiegbu. 

Protect the Precious Foundation is a Girl Child Advocacy group with the vision to uphold, defend and protect the integrity of the girl child, with a mission to make the girl child aware of her make up and seek ways of bringing an end to the plight of the girl child.

Its objectives is to promoting the girl child’s bodily integrity and seek ways to eradicate  all forms of discrimination, encourage the relationship between parents/guardians and the girl child, find ways of reducing the menace of the girl child and to reintegrate the abused child into the society through psychological, legal and emotional backup
