In a bid to discuss issues that will improve the performance of marketing professionals during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, members of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) across Africa held its first online video conference.
Tagged ‘ Marketing In Time of Chaos’, the online video conference which provided the opportunity for marketing professionals and the nation’s media to participate, was the first of its kind to be held by the Institute, in conjunction with Business School Netherlands.
The institute’s President and chairman of Council, Mr Tony Agenmonmen, in a statement, expressed satisfaction with the attendance, adding that technology will play even more critical role in future of how business is done.
Participants discussed Innovations and strategies that will be key in promoting professionalism in time of chaos and in the future of marketing in a world that will be technologically- driven.
One of the lead discussants, Mr. Lere Baale emphasised that business will not remain the same after the COVID-19 pandemic
He explained that marketers will now need to embrace more value driven strategies in the future of marketing.
The conference which was moderated by Mrs Angela Makinwa of Exp Nigeria also had presentations from Mrs. Bolajoko Bayo- Ajayi, the Principal Consultant at Purple Pearl Consulting and Mr Ehi Braimah, CEO Neo Media and Marketing
The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria is the body that is responsible for promoting and controlling the practice of marketing in Nigeria.
Act No. 25 of 2003 empowered the Institute to sanction individuals and corporate organisations, practising sales and marketing without being a member of the Institute.
