….Says Kyari Was One Of Its own

Nigeria pensioners under the aegis of Federal Parastatals & Private Sector Pensioners Association of Nigeria (FEPPPAN), has commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari GCON, the immediate family of late Mallam Abba Kyari and entire Senior Citizens of Nigeria, on the death of the immediate past Chief of staff to the President.
The pensioners also expressed sadness over the Chief of Staff’s demise, especially because he was the first reported Corona Virus fatality of a very high profile senior citizen in the country.
According to Chief Temple Ubani, the President-General of FEPPPAN in a statement, said that pensioners are however consoled by his enviable legacy services to our nation and humanity.
The statement however stressed that “ the fate of Abba Kyari, underscores the dire need for vulnerable retirees and all senior citizens in our country to adhere to all the health and social measures advised by the authorities to stay alive.
“It is also imperative that the Federal, States and Local governments pay special attention to the needs of this category of vulnerable retirees and senior citizens alongside others.”
Chief Ubani, went on to reiterate his earlier call on the Federal government to find a way to provide far-reaching palliatives as part of security measures to keep Nigerian pensioners and seniors citizens safe and less hungry as they stay at home while the fight against the novel Coronavirus lasts.
He also added “We pray that the Souls of the departed fellow citizens caused by the COVID 19 pandemic Rest In Peace.”
