2019 Grammy Awards: The Winners

The 2019 Grammy Awards which marks its 61st in history, took place took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Worthy of remark is how women took centre stage at the event and bagged more wins at the awards.

Hosted by Alicia Keys, one of the highlights of the night was the surprise appearance by former First Lady, Michelle Obama on stage.

It was a strong year for women in general, with Cardi B becoming the first solo woman to win Best Rap Album, and Brandi Carlile winning three in the Americana categories. The biggest win of the night was Kacey Musgraves who snatched Album of the Year and three other awards.
